OVERVIEW:

The PR Manager reports directly to the VP of Marketing and manages the corporate public relations strategy. As the on-site PR expert, this position is tasked with capturing and conveying Evine’s brand story through dynamic media content. This position collaborates with the Marketing, Merchandising and other key teams to develop and execute campaigns that will drive awareness and buzz for key launches and brands. The PR Manager will develop and execute communications plans for all key stakeholders: Vendor, Investor, Media and Internal.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • This position will have a primary focus on the strategy and execution of Evine’s PR campaigns, in addition to other corporate marketing projects and internal communications. 
  • Works directly with Evine’s PR agency of record, executes Evine’s PR initiatives, including management of product placements, influencer programs, PR product samples, and identifies opportunities for media outreach to maximize reach and driving consumers to Evine’s website. 
  • PR Manager will identify opportunities to develop a blogger partnership/network in conjunction with our PR agency. Maintain relationships with key category bloggers and secures blogger support for key marketing initiatives. 
  • Build relationships with local and national media influencers. 
  • Create comprehensive weekly reports and track the impact of PR initiatives on business and sales growth. 
  • Write and pitch press releases and media alerts, while achieving deadlines 
  • Collaborate with merchandising category leaders to identify and understand key trends and opportunities to build PR programs and initiatives. 
  • Manage Marketing Communications Coordinator, assigning tasks and reviewing communications and monthly newsletter for internal team members at both our Eden Prairie, MN and Bowling Green, KY locations before they are distributed.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field or equivalent experience 
  • Basic understanding of HTML, performing edits, tags and links preferred 
  • Strong PR background with a proven ability to drive earned brand awareness 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and web-based functionalities preferred 
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a public relations role that includes PR strategy, writing/pitching press releases, media relations, local and national events, owned and paid media, and writing/pitching of unique industry insights. 
  • Proactive, reliable and responsible with great attention to detail
