Editorial skill is key to this position, from creating and maintaining editorial calendars to researching and writing social media content. And as an ambassador for our clients’ brands, you’ll interact with customers across multiple social media platforms on behalf of our clients. This includes responding in real time, answering questions, mediating conversations and spurring increased interactions between our communities and clients’ brands.

The Social Media Content & Community Specialist reports to the Director of Social Media Strategy and will also play a role in gathering social media analytics and developing insights.

Primary Essential Duties:

  • Create and maintain social calendars, including writing content, on behalf of our clients’ brands. 
  • Play a planning role, guiding community management and outreach activities to ensure activities support the editorial plan and align with the overarching program strategy, to generate the maximum engagement from audiences. 
  • Review user-generated comments and respond quickly when necessary.
  • Escalate user comments, where appropriate, to internal and client stakeholders. 
  • Engage with social influencers to create beneficial relationships and grow the footprint with key audiences for clients. 
  • Utilize social listening tools to generate insights.
  • Summarize insights and conversations to create actionable, client-facing reports that lead to optimization. 
  • Assist in implementing/facilitating paid social media strategies on behalf of clients.

  • Willingness to monitor social media platforms during non-business hours 
  • Natural knack for providing outstanding customer service 
  • Skill juggling multiple projects and managing deadlines 
  • Actively participates in a wide variety of social channels and activities: live events, content curation and sharing, community development and management, commenting, etc. 
  • Deep, working knowledge of popular social networks — design, functionality, users — and best practices for branded content and engagement 
  • Demonstrated ability to produce community management guidelines and documents that reflect a holistic understanding and implementation of the role of social media and its effects 
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation tools and skills

Education and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
