POSITION SUMMARY:

The Social Media Manager will work daily with the External Communications Director and closely with the public relations manager and marketing communications teams to assist in the execution of the external communications and industry marketing strategy through social media outreach. This role is responsible for day-to-day management of social media content both proactively and reactively.

Support the Social Media efforts through:

Manage company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms

  • Creates compelling posts for company social media platforms
  • Creates content that encourages audience interaction and drives audience to interact with additional content and resources on Company’s website
  • Draft monthly proactive calendars and coordinate day-to-day content
  • Address daily updates
  • Monitor activity and respond accordingly
  • Identify potential influencers and create plans to engage influencers in support of communications and marketing strategy
  • Work with external communications team to execute corporate projects to elevate Company’s thought leaders
  • Create monthly social channel analytics report to demonstrate impact of social media program

Works with external communications and industry marketing to develop and implement social campaigns (paid and organic) to raise the Company’s brand awareness and convert opportunities to sales

Monitor social media coverage for Company and company peers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Journalism required 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional social media, public relations, and/or marketing experience 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills 
  • External communications experience required 
  • B2B experience required 
  • Knowledge of social media platforms 
  • Familiarity with media relations and social media management and monitoring tools 
  • Must be detailed-oriented and team player
