Overview:

To ensure everyone knows Sleep Number, and how improved sleep can improve their life, the Social Strategy and Influencer Manager will work closely with the Sleep Number Social team to: 1) Support the strategy development and implementation across all Social platforms 2) Lead influencer engagement, and 3) Support priority Media projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and love project managing multiple projects. You’re a people person with a passion for influencer marketing and creative social writing skills; you’re ready to lean-in on one of the fastest-growing teams in Marketing.

Social Content (approximately 60% of role)

  • Support Manager to develop individual Social platform strategies, as well as content strategies, then project manage the internal Creative team, Social Community & Content Specialist & external agency partners from ideation to execution 
  • Manage select creative briefs/campaigns and update internal creative documents to meet deadlines 
  • Work closely with the Social Community & Content Specialist to drive workflow and consistency across content and campaigns 
  • Partner with Manager to implement best practices on an ongoing basis, design all creative (including video) for each platform/unit and audience, and share updates about platform changes 
  • Lead analyzing of reports to understand content’s impact on paid media strategies (and vice versa); partner with paid team to optimize both content, audiences and campaigns

Influencer Engagement (approximately 20% of role)

Manage influencer engagement programs; provide daily support to external blogger networks, one-off influencers including, but not limited to:

  • Day-to-day relationship management (calls, emails, meetings) 
  • Identification and securement of best influencers; negotiate partnerships 
  • Blogger network management 
  • Recap report compilation
  • Internal cross-functional plan integration

Priority Media Projects (approximately 20% of role)

  • Lead efforts with external teams for priority Media projects (including priority markets like Manhattan) 
  • Manage partner relationships 
  • Develop strategy and cross-functional plan 
  • Identify and secure best influencers; negotiate partnerships 
  • Lead event efforts in partnership with Events team

Position Requirements:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, integrated marketing, or social media 
  • 3-5+ years social media, communications, marketing, PR or related background required 
  • Agency experience preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong project management experience and organizational skills required 
  • Able to be flexible and to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner required 
  • Influencer program or blogger relationship management & negotiation experience required 
  • Social media/online writing experience and working knowledge of social media platforms required 
  • Strong computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Consumer products or retail experience preferred 
  • Able to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently 
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment 
  • Able to follow schedules and complete required documentation and reports 
  • Able to remain calm under pressure 
  • Able to tactfully make decisions based on what’s best for the customer
