PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senior Manager, Digital Marketing leads the global web, search and social media marketing team supporting all Life Fitness brands. The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for strategic leadership and management of web-based marketing and digital tools including multi-brand and multilingual websites, search engine marketing and social media. This position acts as lead project manager to ensure all global web, search, and social media projects achieve marketing goals, are technically sound, are completed on time and budget, and meet business goals and stakeholder expectations. Provide team leadership, define and refine processes, provide international counsel, and oversee internal and external resources and agency personnel charged with producing digital assets for Life Fitness.

The successful candidate will have experience across the digital spectrum with deep focus and expertise specifically in website, search and social media marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience working simultaneously across multiple brands and will have managed multilingual international digital marketing initiatives. The successful candidate must be results-oriented with a proven ability to evolve and improve the performance of digital channels including driving traffic, sales, leads, conversion and overall results.

Responsibilities will include project management of all web, search and social media projects, ownership/management and evolution of global web properties, ownership of global social media channels, leadership of organic and paid search program, ownership of the web/search/social strategy and plan, management of the web/search/social team, and management of 3rd party vendors and agencies. This position will work in a team environment interacting and coordinating with several functions including creative, product & segment marketing, sales, IT and international.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop, drive and manage the strategic plans for website development & evolution, web content management, search marketing (SEO and SEM/PPC) and social media, successfully driving results. 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand brand, product, segment and event specific goals. Develop strategic campaigns to successfully deliver against set goals delivering successful, timely and on-budget integrated initiatives. 
  • Serve as owner of all brand websites including managing content, identifying development items and driving the evolution of the platforms. Ensure appropriate translations for international sites. 
  • Serve as web, search and social media channel-expert for international digital marketers, providing guidance and ensuring global alignment. 
  • Drive leads and sales through web, search and social media marketing. 
  • Drive and own web, search and social media analytics including platform-specific analytics and promotional campaign performance/effectiveness. Develop web, search and social media metrics and KPIs, report regularly on metrics, and optimize for improved performance. 
  • Lead the web, search and social media team, managing and mentoring staff. 
  • Manage contracts/scope, workload, budget and work quality of all third-party vendors and agencies responsible for web, search and social media.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred 
  • Minimum 7-9 years digital marketing experience, B2B experience ideal 
  • Experience simultaneously managing projects for multiple brands 
  • Experience with multilingual web properties, managing language translations and local customization 
  • At least 5 years of website management including content management, digital media development, usability, UI/UX, site design and platform evolution 
  • Experience with Drupal and other CMS systems 
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS 
  • At least 4 years of search marketing with experience managing successful organic (SEO) and paid search (PPC) projects 
  • Expansive knowledge of search engine marketing strategies, analytics and tools, including experience with SEM Rush, MOZ and BrightEdge platforms 
  • At least 4 years of social media marketing experience 
  • Expansive knowledge of social media strategies, platforms, analytics, and management tools including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and Sprout Social 
  • Exceptional, proven project management and leadership with the ability to proactively manage multiple projects and foresee Life Fitness needs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Experience with marketing processes, maintaining brand standards and creative development process 
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously 
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing analytics, particularly web, social media and search 
  • Expertise with web tracking metrics through Google Analytics including the understanding of custom events, goals, campaigns, etc. 
  • Ability to interpret digital marketing analytics and translate data insights into actionable opportunities to optimize results and drive results 
  • Ability to leverage customer insights to drive successful marketing strategy and programs 
  • Exceptional writing, communication and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work on a cross-functional team 
  • Experience managing, mentoring and leading a team 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including internationally 
  • In depth knowledge of evolving web, search and social media technology and trends, and practical application to the business 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
