We are located in Schaumburg, across from The Streets of Woodfield, conveniently adjacent to I-90, 355 and 290. Our office is accessible on public transportation from Chicago, via the blue line and Pace Bus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in comunication, marketing, journalism or related field (an equivalent amount of training, education and experience will be considered)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in communications, marketing or business development
- Experience working in customer relationship management and networking preferred
- Experience working on technical subject matter preferred
- Experience formulating and implementing marketing plans a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, adapting communication styles as needed for the various audiences and a variety of media
- Ability to digest complex information quickly and to develop clear communications on that information to various audiences
- Strong organizational and project management experience that demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with SOA staff and build rapport with prospects and volunteers
- Exhibit strong initiative and ability and willingness to understand and support strategic and operational initiatives of the SOA
- Ability to learn quickly, demonstrate critical thinking and make situation-appropriate decisions using sound judgment
