Strategic Communications Specialist

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field
  • 2 years’ experience in marketing, public relations or journalism
  • Excellent writing skills, adaptable for a variety of internal and external audiences – including social media
  • Story-telling through ability to shoot, write, edit and interview as well as manage larger video productions
  • Social media management experience
  • Self-starter with a journalist mentality; 
  • Always looking for stories and opportunities/channels to share them

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Continued training in marketing topics through certificates, seminars, webinars and workshops
  • 3 concurrent years marketing or communications experience in a healthcare environment
  • Photography skills/interest
  • Understanding the web user experience, website navigation and web architecture
  • An excellent sense of design and design software knowledge (Photoshop)
  • An understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS), web, digital and social media issues and opportunities
  • Experience tracking and forecasting web traffic (i.e., Google Analytics)

Starting at $48,800, commensurate with experience.
