Summary:

The Marketing Assistant will support the creation and maintenance of Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley digital and print assets. This includes writing monthly and quarterly e-newsletters and other email communication, editing blog posts written by staff, creating social media content and tracking digital advertising and activities. The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in maintaining the organization’s marketing calendar for referral and brand marketing, public relations, events and mailings; the oversight of all website updates and assisting with special events as needed.

Basic Responsibilities:

This includes writing monthly and quarterly e-newsletters and other email communication, editing blog posts written by staff, creating social media content and tracking digital advertising and activities. The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in maintaining the organization’s marketing calendar for referral and brand marketing, public relations, events and mailings; the oversight of all website updates and assisting with special events as needed.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized and committed individual who believes in our mission to help infants, children and adults with developmental delays and disabilities live, learn, work and play in their communities. This is a temporary position for 4 – 5 months, filling in for the Marketing Manager, who will be on maternity leave. Located in our Villa Park center, the position will be up to 20 hours each week, with a flexible schedule and remote work opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in communications or related field preferred. 
  • Proven experience in marketing, communications or public relations is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with Adobe design programs, Canva and/or designing web & print materials 
  • Familiar with Google Analytics and advertising with Google AdWords, Facebook and more 
  • Email marketing experience, Constant Contact preferred 
  • HTML/Website and Wordpress experience preferred 
  • Exceptional writing and excellent oral communication skills 
  • Public Relations experience including writing press releases and pitching media 
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. 
  • Some night and weekend hours required
