The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters is a lifelong learning organization founded in 1870 by and for the people of Wisconsin. We produce programs and publications that explore, explain, and sustain Wisconsin thought and culture. Our signature publication is Wisconsin People & Ideas, a quarterly magazine that publishes fiction and poetry from Wisconsin writers, highlights new works from artists and photographers from across the state, and covers science and environmental issues that affect our people, lands, and waters.
Since 1954, the independent Wisconsin People & Ideas magazine has been a trusted resource for people who care about the issues and ideas that shape life in Wisconsin. Wisconsin People & Ideas is available at Wisconsin Academy events and exhibitions as well as selected bookstores, and is delivered quarterly to Wisconsin Academy members and libraries across the state.
Wisconsin People & Ideas, the Wisconsin Academy’s quarterly magazine of contemporary Wisconsin thought and culture, seeks a part-time (18 hrs/wk) editorial intern for Winter/Spring 2019. The only independent magazine exploring contemporary intellectual and artistic life in our state, Wisconsin People & Ideas publishes fiction and poetry from Wisconsin writers, highlights new works from our visual artists and photographers, and covers science and environmental issues that affect our communities.
